Located on the Southwestern border of Cook Forest State Park, Kellywood is designed and furnished to keep your vacation RUSTIC and COMFORTABLE with wall to wall carpeting, central gas heating, and Knotty Pine interiors. You will also be greeted with a handcut stone, wood-burning fireplace, perfect to relax with in the evening.

Included is a sun porch with dining table, two bedrooms (double bed in each), bathroom (with shower), and a neat, fully-equipped kitchen with bar.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Located on 2 1/2 rustic wooded acres, we provide a picnic table, fire circle, Weber grill and a
supply of firewood for your enjoyment. Additional firewood may be purchased on the property.

KELLYWOOD CONDO

 

Perfect for two people, Kellywood offers a 1-Bedroom Condo with full kitchen and bar, bathroom with walk-in closet, and living room area with TV & DVD. Makes a great getaway, year around. In-floor heating assures a cozy atmosphere regardless of outside weather.

If you use Exit 60 (Shippenville, Rt. 66) from the East or West:

Follow Rt. 66 North (only direction from this exit) and continue on to Leeper (Rt. 36). At Leeper, turn right on Rt. 36 toward Cook Forest and go approximately 3.5 miles to the Miola Rd. (little brown barn on the right). Turn right onto Miola Road and go only 100 feet to Gravel Lick Road. Turn left onto Gravel Lick Road. Kellywood is 4 tenths of a mile on the left.

If you use Exit 62 (Clarion, Rt. 68):

If coming from the West, turn left. If coming from the East, turn right (North). The Clarion Mall will be on your left. Stay on this rorad to the traffic light (Clarion Court House is on the corner) and continue through this intersection. Approximately 1 mile down the hill and across the bridge this road become Miola Rd. Continue on this road for approximately 10 miles, passing through Miola Village and Scotch Hill Village to Gravel Lick Rd. (right turn only). Kellywood is 4 tenths of a mile on the left.

If you use Exit 78 (Brookville):

Proceed North on Rt. 36 to Cook Forest. Continue on Rt. 36 to Miola Road (approximately 2.5 miles). Turn left onto the Miola Road, going only 100 feet to Gravel Lick Road. Turn left. Kellywood is 4 tenths of a mile on the left.

Check out our annual Condo Rates. This is a great deal for a 2 person getaway... by the Week, Weekend or 4 Night Specials.

At the cabin we include a Corn Crib and encourage you to feed the other residents of Kellywood. Located 35 feet from the cabin’s front picture window allows a closeup look at Deer, Turkey, Squirrel and if luck is with you a Bear, sometimes with cubs.

Firewood Resources

Kellywood cuts and splits its own firewood from our property. It is provided for your convenience to burn inside or out as required. If we need to supplement our supply, it is purchased, cut and split from a local supplier... and for a very good reason.

Pennsylvania currently has two forestry problems:

• Ash Trees - The Emerald Ash Borer
• Hemlock Trees - The Wolly Adelgid Insect

If either of the above infest our area, it is most likely the trees will die. Kellywood is located on the border of Cook Forest and at the moment we do not have these threats and wish to remain so.

Since the spread of both these insects may be encouraged thru transportation of firewood secured from other areas, as a guest of Kellywood, transportation of firewood onto the property is strictly prohibited.
